Modules which allow data-merging (all 2x2 chip modules) are configured into all different possible data merging modes and an Analog test is performed. The purpose of the quick data merging test is then to verify that data transmission works for all of them. Additionally, a data merging test which allows to measure the data transmission quality between the CROCs on the module is developed, which can be used in case problems are observed during pre-production. The number of failing pixels in this test is compared with the previous Analog test and requires to agree within 1 % to the previous test.
